HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – – Today Orange County Small-Business Owner Greg Haskin issued a strong statement to the Orange County Board of Supervisors over the new program to create homeless tent encampments in the City of Huntington Beach.
“This is outrageous. The Board of Supervisors sat on their hands while the county’s homeless problem grew out of control,” said Haskin. “Now their plan is to create homeless tent camps in our city. I won’t stand for this and neither should the residents of our area.”
“Local residents who want to join in opposing the homeless tent camps in our area should go to my website at greghaskin.com/hbhc/ and register their opposition.”
Earlier this week the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted to create homeless tent encampments on county-owned land in three of Orange County’s cities-Laguna Niguel, Irvine and Huntington Beach.
